The video did not inform of other thing that you have to worry about, like soil types and when it is the best time to transplant a tree or a bush. It is given very basic information. You can not take a bush (juniper) and put it in a pot and expect it to live. This bush will most likely die in a few months.

and you too act like a dick, i never said anything about how bad or good their bonsai tree will be, i just pointed out the author never said their pros at what their doing, shut the fuck up call me a troll, look at your post it had nothing to do with you, so shut the fuck up, fucking douch bag go fuck a mini tree and get a splinter.

  • Bonsai Pruning

” lol you seriously acted like a douchbag, the poster never said their pros or even knew what they were doing, its just what they did, get over your self you fucking mini tree elitist cumwad ”

    Says one troll to another.
The title of this post is in fact, quite ignorant indeed.
The title should be edited to read, ” How to plant a small shrub. If this plant was the same size at 30 years old, then yes, it would then be a real bonsai. Bonsai is the art itself, not the plant.

After watching this, “How to make a bonsai” video, I have to say that you really don’t know what you are doing. I feel that I can say this on account that I have been studying bonsai for a few years now and, I do find you video very amusing. Educate your self before you post ignorance.

the tree is doing great and looks much different now.

Depends how good you are at looking after them. There’s no reason why they couldn’t last your lifetime in the right conditions. Of course, beginners are not very consistant with watering and repotting and having the right amount of sunlight therefore the typeical lifetime might be from days to months. I have some trees already 30 years.

    Bonsai Care

Yes, you can make grass into bonsai - it’s typically used as an accent plant at shows. You can make weeds into bonsai (e.g. Dandelion) and you can even make “weed” into bonsai.

  • Bonsai Tools

Yes. 1-2 years for young trees (like in the video) and 3-5 for mature trees. The root pruning encourages more growth… which in turn provides more branches and leaves to work with.

Once set, must the roots be trimmed every so often to keep tree from getting too large?

what do you define real bonsai. the essential concept is to prune the crowns or root ball to dwarf the tree.. that tree will remain bonsai with he proper care…

  • Cultivating Bonsai

you should use non-organic soil. as the potting soil it is in will clot and cause the roots to rot and kill your tree over time. you want free draining soil.

I remember 5 months ago you posted some uninformed bullshit and you were called out on it. I can’t decide if your a mouthy prick or just trolling for attention. Either way you need to shut the hell up and think about getting yourself sterilized.

Looks like I stuck a chord! If you want to superimpose your own sexual reality onto others that’s your problem but I’m not a “faggot”, and if i was there wouldn’t be anything wrong with that. I’m sure it’s hard for you to get laid because you talk about it like it takes so much energy, but for us normally functioning members of society it’s really not a big deal.

Spacepainter, can you please update your video to see how the health of your juniper pre bonsai is getting on, just to show people that it’s still a live and well, if it was not for people like spacepainter who take the time to make these videos for our enjoyment, alot of you would never have a clue how it is possible to make a pre bonsai out a garden centre shrub. Don’t criticise people trying to show an art that has been kept very secret for many years, where else would you learn this for free
